Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain books of record for client-owned entities.
  • Act as primary point of contact for designated clients and joint-venture members.
  • Perform general accounting duties related to month end close including the recording of accruals, estimates, and other closing entries as required.
  • Maintain general ledger including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and related party activity for designated companies.
  • Prepare monthly reporting package to members.
  • Perform detailed income statement and cash flow analysis, including budget comparisons for monthly presentation to clients.
  • Manage cash resources including payments, transfers, and member distributions.
  • Manage processing of landowner payments, if required, and act as liaison with landowners.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the hypothetical liquidation at book value (HLBV).
  • Manage annual audit and prepare quarterly and annual data for tax estimates and annual tax returns.
  • Prepare annual budget of operating companies.
  • Assist with the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures both internally and for clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Public accounting experience with exposure to accounting for variable interest entities (VIE) and variable voting entities (VOE) is considered a plus.
  • Minimum ten years total experience and five years relevant experience.
  • Financial accounting experience required.
  • Advanced excel skills is considered a plus.
